Just saw this available for pre-order, though I've never heard of it. Found a few trailers and, despite a few odd graphics (maybe Youtube quality?)the game looks fun as hell.

Anyone hear of/following this? Looks really good. A bit like Fallout but....better?

i have a confession....

i started STALKER...never finished it
i started Fallout 3....never finished it
i started Borderlands.....have yet to finish it
i stopped playing a Rogue at 70 and a DK at 65 in WoW cause i started playing Assassin's Creed...which I finished!
i'm thinking about starting Mass Effect 1 or 2 now i'm thinking i MUST play this when it comes out but........but i feel guilt for these games i haven't finished!

It's ex-STALKER devs, but it's a different game. From what I've gathered it's linear and more of a normal shooter than STALKER is.

No, you are not. I usually don't finish games, because I'm very hard to please and I rarely like them. My last abortion was Bioshock.
At this moment I have to choose between Fallout 3 and Mass Effect 1.

I've been keeping my eye on this a while, looks interesting but not necessarily great. It's based on a novel by a Russian author iirc, with the same title. The graphics look pretty slick at least.

There was another thread on this not long before you made yours. There are some great videos in there. It's in German, but you can gather quite a bit from watching.

I'll search around for it, the vids I've seen make it look like an average shooter in a fairly creepy environment.

Yup, book is by Ditry Glukhovsky, its been published in a number of countries and in a number of languages. Going to be published in English on March 16. Me thinks this is around the time the game is being released?
