Metropolis!

Just watched the restored, original version of Metropolis, and I have to say, it's a very impressive film. I loved the music as well. Even though it was filmed in 1927, the special effects are quite good and it just gives off the vibe of an epic film. Anyone else seen it?

Well I haven't seen it. It's a silent film isn't it and it probably has a much slower pace than modern movies. I would rather watch Bladerunner.

there's also a retro future anime version of metropolis that was done very well in a sort of Astroboy style. I personally can hardly stand anime in general, but i thought it was made very well.

Yeah, I had a big argument with my friend who insisted Metropolis was an anime film until we both realised there might have been a remake.
