It could just be a reference to the game being next-gen and not using DVD's anymore (as opposed to the PS2 games or MGS1 which actually required multiple discs). Or maybe they are jabbing at 360.

What will REALLY be funny is if they do ever port the game to 360 and wind up using the same bits of voiceover work to seriously tell the player to switch discs .

Obviously. I don't see how anyone could think this was a slight at Microsoft. The only games (that I'm aware of) that use multiple discs on 360 are Blue Dragon and Lost Oddysey, and that's because Japanese devs can't program on US hardware for shit so all the cutscenes are pre-rendered.

Honestly, this is just a case of Kojima sucking some Sony cock and tripping over the fourth wall yet again in the process. For a series that's meant to be about stealth, it has the least subtle humour ever...
