Miami Vice (****ing ace teaser)

****ing YES!

Quite an assuring trailer for what-is-to-be an awesome film.
 
I love Michael Mann. One of my favorite directors. I have high hopes for this movie.
 
"Miami Vice: The Movie" sounds like a horrible idea that some hack would come up with.
And then Michael Mann takes it and makes it look incredible.

Well actually, Michael Mann was the creator of the original Miami Vice show. He envisioned a darker approach to the show, but TV execs weren't going for that. Its good to see Miami Vice becoming what he had always planned it to be.

If anyone hasn't seen a Mann film yet, I suggest finding:

Heat
Thief
Collateral

His best films (and 3 of my top 20 favorite films).
 
Mann is a great director and I loved the series, Heat, and Collateral.


I watched the trailer and must say I absolutely hated it simply because of the music. I know the film could be good, but linkin park is bloody awful.
 
I like some of the shots in there, looks like it could be a nice, mature film, which is always nice

I loved Collateral and most of Heat, so, I'm willing to try this out

did anyone notice the one scene where they were driving? looked like it was straight out of Collateral, which is awesome

and Micheal Mann is the director? omgomgomg!! :D

Too bad Colin Farrell sucks out loud. I wanted to see The New World until he appeared in the trailer. He can't act to save his life. Poor casting IMHO. I am just tired of the whole black cop/white cop thing too, so that doesn't help.

Mann rules however--Manhunter was infinitely better than Red Dragon and Heat was amazing as well. I just don't think I can sit through 2 hours of Colin's ugly no-talent brooding and mugging for the camera.
 
Movie looked.... ok. Definitely not as good as you guys make it out ot be.
 
Just watched it. Looks good not that special...but I hope I'm wrong ;)
