MIC Not Working PLz Help

hey guys,
I got a mic so i could use it in CS:S but every time i try it. it does not work. The mic IS working off the game and the 'Allow MIC' button in the options of CS:S is checked. but i still can't get sound.
please if you have any ideas share them.

1) Is your mic muted perhaps? Check to see if you have a switch.
2) Do you have a key bound to the mic? The default should be "k"

Thanks, All T had to do was, as you said hold "K"
but i now changed it to "E"
