MIC problem

when ever i talk thru my mic in cs, the noise gets all fuked up and shit. in ventrillo or teamtalk everything is fine. i got sennheisers pc 150 so my mic isnt crap.
my mic works fine on any other programs exept CS.. help me :flame:

do you have the mic gain turned up in the game's options? could be the mic having a problem with some of the options set inside the game.

Run the voice config from Half Life 1 before sorting it out in HL2/CSS : That can help sometimes

lol sorry for the language, i was pissed, i tried it it still gives me a gay muffling noise in the background, it cud be my soundcard but than y does it work in ventrillo and other programs. i have soundmax ac97' on board sound

Could be the actual in-game speech. It's not the best quality...

onboard ac97 = BAD

research it, there are all kinds of mic probs with this soundcard.

Try turning mic boost on/off in Volume Control -> Mircophone -> Advanced. Also, as DirtyApe said, try adjusting the sound settings ingame.
