I'm selling my current CPU/Motherboard/RAM from my media center PC to someone and plan to update it.
I'm looking at these parts.
CPU and heatsink
Board
RAM
Think that looks good or any suggestions?
No OCing. Running 24/7. Will be capturing TV from a tuner and video encoding often. And when it's not so hot outside I'd probably fold on it.
It's an Antec Fusion case so height of parts and heatsink is an issue. It won't fit tower heatsinks. MicroATX boards only. I'd like to keep the 120mm Case fan on low for noise so not a lot of air flow.
Already have a 430watt Antec PSU that came with the case. 8500GT passively-cooled video card. Have a Zalmans copper 7000 cooler for the A64 in there atm. Don't think the cooler will help with newer CPUs. The 120mm fan in the case is exhaust and would be <1/2 inch from the scythe heatsink. Probably won't use the 80mm fan that comes with the cooler if I can get away with it.
