I recently bought this $9 RadioShack Clip-on microphone for my computer, and discovered a problem with it right off the bat.
Microphone volume is at full in sndvol32, all other lines are muted. I speak directly into the microphone with sndrec32 open and all I get is this faint voice on it - and can't really hear it well until I turn the speakers up to 2/3 volume. I have Bose Multimedia PC speakers - so with that volume you can hear normal volumed audio from downstairs. However, I can't really get this mic to work on in-game chat as nobody can hear me.
I was reading other places and nobody seemed to have any thing about this particular model (RadioShack 33-3026) microphone doing crazy stuff like this.
Could this be a problem with the onboard sound card w/ the Chaintech 7NJL1 Apogee, or is this a problem with the microphone?
