MICROSOFT leaves MIKE ROWE alone!

Hmm yeah thats messed up. Microsoft needs to pull out whatever is jammed up their ass. Domanding to take possession of a web domain created after someones name is just stupid.

i havent read it, but microsoft pretty much gave up after all the negative publicity. they were like "we overreacted" which is true.

Mike wants $10,000 just to change his site name? lol

They offered him $10, he went back and insisted on $5000 and they got even worse about the situation.

Don't know where the $10000 sum came from

He shouldn't get a damn thing, maybe the cost of the site registering but definitely not $10,000. When I heard he said that I penned him in as "f*cking idiot" in my little book.

He did that, because he was pissed that they insisted he should give up his hard work for $10.

He said he asked for $10k on his website... has anyone actually read it?

www.mikerowesoft.com

it's a little slow for all the publicity he's getting, but he's got the whole story on it.

He asked for 10K not as a serious offer but just to show how he didnt really want to give up the site. However, that let them do all sorts of nasty unatural things with law books.

You know the whole "Hey give me 10K for my website thing!" was the whole thing that did it.

The other fact is how had could it have been to think of a less "related" name.

He must have known that Mike Rowe Soft sounds a lot like the big MS. I mean how hard (and less lawyer baiting would www.MikeRoweDev.com been to think up and use?)

While it may have been a joke he kinda did step close to a line. Granted it probably isn't a line and more of an ethical zig-zag but some part of me still thinks "What was he thinking?"

Whats so bad about asking for $10000 from Microsoft? I would be pretty pissed off if they offered me $10 for a website I poured all of my hardwork into.
