microsoft word help for school assignment please help

hey everyone,

i am typing a paper for one of my classes and i need to know how to have the words line up with the previous line instead of going all the way back to the margins in mircrosoft word.

i would like this:

1. The man saw the cat running because the cat was red and he liked |||the mouse

the ||| represent spaces

but this is what im getting:

note: this is just example text lol, someone please help, im not good with word

go to Format -> AutoFormat and play around with the functions , Microsoft Word is really annoying sometimes when it tries to think for you.

I just turn off every last function Word tries to do for me, other than showing me spelling errors.

Lol yeah , I was looking at rayMan I think who has MaxPayne 2 avatar and I was thinking I havent played Max Payne 1 in long enough it was time for change
