mics used in cs

i am planning to get the logitech desktop mic, probably go to bestbuy and go get it in a couple mins

but is taht any good for a cheap priced mic? and are headphone mics better or desktop?

headsets are better.

Get the Plantronics DSP .90 headset, it's about $32 when I got it a year or so ago, and it has excellent sound quality and a very good mic, clear and perfect for gaming.

and i cant afford that because i have 40 and need to spend around 15 on some toy which leaves me to 25 on a mic

that, and you don't have to worry about being too far away from your mic. Background noise is at a minimum that way too, since they only pick up sounds originating in a few inch radius.

those are too much for a guy like me, but i already bought a mic.

i bought the logitech desktop mic for 30...imma use it till it breaks

desl top mics are rather cumbersome for CS... a cheap headset mic would have been great...

You might want to reconsider for these mate

They are $11 after shipping, and alot better than anything a desktop microphone could do for you. Especially in Counter-Strike. You should look at it for more than the microphone, but also if you can hear everything going around you better (headphones) you'll probaly play better.
