Miner Wars

I'm getting powerful Homeworld vibes from this. I'm pumped.

I've watched this on and off for over a year and a half, it could be good, it could bomb.

Some of the gameplay vids have looked terrible.

As long as you get enough missile ammo to actually do a good amount of digging it should be fun.

The gameplay looked kind of awful. What is even the point of those missiles, beyond blowing chunks in an asteroid?

O...kay? Let me know when it becomes wildly successful so I can come back and express my opinion freely. >_>

Looks like a neat idea I guess. If you can't even accurately hit a guy going in a straight line though I'm not sure what the point of combat is though. Kind of reminds me of Shattered Horizon kind of....

The 2D physics in Cortex Command are cooler.

They've also got some cool stuff in the works (in addition to continuing the development of CC)

I've tried the tech demo, pretty impressive how things bend, deform, and even break dynamically.
Artwork reminds me of this NES game 'Blaster Master'. This was a great game, even if it aged horribly. In some places you would need to get out of your tank, but mainly you would get upgrades for your tank that would let you drive up walls and operate underwater and other upgrades so you could progress.

Anyway, looks cool though, Veg.

Oh, yeah. Miner Wars. It looks like it could be fun, but it looked too hard to destroy any ships. Hold down guns forever.
