Mirror' Edge E3 Leap of Faith Trailer

The game is looking great. I just hope the enemies are a bit tougher to take down than they appear, and I hope Runners' Vision is able to be disabled.

What do you mean by "runner's vision"? The motion blur effect, or the first-person viewpoint? If it's the latter, don't count on it. DICE said that they wanted the player to feel as connected to the game as possible. Have a third-person view would completely go against that.

No, the tutorial-like red highlighting of the "correct" path. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that the game is first-person. I wish more games were first-person (I'm looking at you Resident Evil...specifically 4 and 5...especially after watching the latest trailer...****).

Also, the motion blur is cool too, as long as it's not overdone. I just don't like the idea of being told which way to go. It seems like that sort of defeats the point of the game.

Oh. I figured that was just the paint scheme on the buildings, but after rewatching I noticed that the bar she swings on is also red. Perhaps if it truly does indicate the correct route, it's possible that it could be disabled?

Needs big HUD, weapons and darker colours ... NOT!

Fantastic video.

Yeah, well that's what I'm hoping. Even parts of the helicopter at the very end are coated in red so as to notify the player that you must run and jump, but don't worry, you won't fall and miss, because we're telling you it's the right thing to do. That's kind of lame, but other than that, the game looks yummy.

Looks meh. Putting platforming in first-person still seems silly, and though I know the demo was scripted as hell for E3 purposes, if the game stays just as linear and has the same hand-holding throughout (OH LOOK YOU HAVE TO GO HERE TO WIN, WOULD YOU LIKE AN ARROW JUST IN CASE?), then I will be very disappointed.

The red highlighting Runner Vision is optional in the game and may be disabled, according to a recent IGN review. :)

As for you disliking the first-person perspective, that's totally your opinion, but I adore it.

Looks sweet, but I'm concerned about the linearity of the game.

Yeah man, too Asian and not enough big rack am I right!!!!1 Chinky-chinky chong-chong!!!!

Seriously, it's nice to see a video game heroine that isn't necessarily a sex symbol... though they could have picked someone less attractive as well.

It's not that, it's more just the eye tattoo/rock-climbing type clothing, I just think they could have made it seem cooler.

I just don't like it.

There was a demo? Link?
