Mirror's Edge review.

Only 7 hours long??

**** that shit. Definitely saving money for Left 4 Dead now.

Wow, game looks ****ing fantastic. Much better then I expected. If I also enjoy the core game play I
imagine the 7 hours of this game giving me more pleasure and leaving a more memorable experience
then many other games.

Getting on Friday anyway. I've looked forward to this game for far too long :D

7 hrs if you play through it once - likely much more if you want get good at it to pull off cool runs.

FYI, the PC version that is due out in Q1 '09 will according to DICE pack a map-editor, that could add A LOT to the longevity of the game, I'm still pondering whether to get the 360 version or wait for the PC version.

Still going to get this game, its too unique to let it become a rental or a pass. You just know the timed runs will be addictive.

If people complain about a game being only seven hours long just think of how they will start complaining down the road about games that are only ten, twelve, hell even twenty hours long.

A seven isn't a bad score...

This reminds me of Assassins Creed. I thought the game was great and only saw one review for it that was actually positive.

I hated AC personally but I saw LOADS of reviews that loved it and 1 or 2 that didn't o_O

Are you like...the exact opposite of me? I'm not sure what the opposite of nipples are.

Anywayyy, here's gamespys review. 4/5

Still a must for FPS enthusiasts. The review scores only dictate how much I'm willing to pay for a game I know I must play sooner or later.

3 more days for me, this is still a day one purchase IMO :D

Now buy PS3 version or wait for pc version!!!

I don't have a PS3 or Xbox, so I'm going to pirate it when it comes to the PC.

I disagree. The game isn't all that much about shooting, so if anything, I believe it would appeal more to platforming fans. I think the game looks good, but I'm not sure if I'll be getting it.

Got the demo on my PS3, love it.. mainly because the music is awesome. And secondly because it's fun and feels fresh. What really pisses me off though is there's no AA whatsoever on the PS3 which is beyond a joke, and no PC version release date announcement :(.

Going from playing a First Person Shooting game to one with no shooting is easier than going from any form of Platform game to one in a new perspective. FPS players are no strangers to Platform mechanics: it's just that Mirror's Edge actually manages to get them right for once.

Xen, Residue Processing, Ick.

IGN's review made it not worth buying. The sequel (crossing fingers) would be better. I don't believe IGN reviewed played it that much, probably was playing COD5.

Good Game (Australian gaming TV show) reviewed it this week and one of them gave it a 7.5 and one of them gave it a 6.5. Apparently after you've watched the trailers you've seen everything.

Well, it's short as expected, and I already exceeded my games budget for the next month or so (more if you factor in L4D), so this is looking like a rental. Oh well, should still be fun while it lasts.

I wonder if the consoles will get the streamlined mapeditor they're making for the PC version via a DLC.

Reading about it during development, I wasn't at all interested. Playing the demo reinforced the fact that I REAAAAALLLLLYYY wasn't interested. 7 hours of gameplay and all of the reviews I've read and I won't even rent it one day.

Just watch kids play the L4D demo and rage about how they don't like it. Yeah not everyone game is for you.

Im going to wait and see how the PC version turns out. Then ill decide what to get. I have so much to play it wont hurt..But ya must buy for me. Huge parkour fan.

Apparently, every single ****in levels are same.

The difference is that you get an indoor and outdoor rooftop levels.

Either rent it or save your money for more upcoming games.

You've been warned.

Bought it, unfortunately been too busy with L4D to start it.
