Missing all CS textures...

I know I might sound like an utter Hammer noob, which I am, but here goes ...

so I decide I want to create a CS level... but... when I browse for textures, many are missing... all the CS textures, all the glass textures, etc...

..erm..... I used hammer yesterday and magically a "counterstrike" option appeared on the drop down list when I opened the texture browser, and disappeared the next... I tried looking for materials and texture packs to import with the config... but no go...

anyone have any idea what should I do to get all the textures? ... I've searched the stickies and used the search function but didn't find any answers... if I missed something old I apologize

nobody out there can help? :'( can anyone at least tell me how to get the glass textures in? I see all these glass tutorials but where do I find the actual glass texture lol

if I load a map with glass in it the texture doesn't load in face edit, just a black (blank?) square

try uninstalling cs:s and the sdk and reinstalling

I had the same problem... all you need to do is delete your gamecfg.ini file from the "../SteamApps/<username>/sourcesdk/bin" directory.
It fixes it all with no reinstalling!!

I was hoping for that easy fix without reinstall... too bad you posted after I already reinstalled everything lol takes forever
