Mobster/Gangster games?

Well I'm wrapping up Mafia 2 and it seems to have woken an urge to play some more mob-type games. Problem is, I can't seem to think of many newer ones. I played and didn't enjoy the original Godfather but don't know how the second one is.

I'd really wish the games had more of a free roam/gang war type stuff where you can just perform hits and what not freely. I know it can be done in GTAIV, but that game got really boring after so long. Can anyone recommend some mob type games or is the Godfather 2 decent?

Play the original Mafia.
The Godfather 2 sucked all forms of ass.

As for mob games in general there's the Gangsters series from the 90s and the more recent Gangland from about 6 or 7 years ago... neither of which are really that great but decent they're distractions.

You could also check out Kingpin, a Quake 2 engine mobster game though it's not set in the 1920s or 30s.
Or more or less set in present day but in a shitty neighborhood.

How about the original Godfather? I found that for 12.99.

Can't find Gangland anywhere, but it looks pretty good.

It was pretty bad too.
The controls are overly complicated and make it hard to really enjoy.
