Im sure im not alone in thinking this, but half the mods that get announced here are usually just a few maps and/or models, or even worse just concept art and a promise "to create a revolutionary and groundbreaking" mod.

Cant mod announcements be saved for BIG announcements? Like when they release a substantial amount of new media, playbable demos, or ingame videos.

agree/disagree?

If we did that, people would complain that there's no new news....

It's nice that HL2.net also takes notice off the smaller mods. They are the ones that need that kind of attention.

Yeah, all there would be are like Steam Weekly Updates. :p

I think we're at a stage where the mods that have the muscle to deliver the goods are already identified, scrolling down quite a few on the news page alone, in all honesty, they will not deliver a thing and will be lucky to stay together another month.

I hope i'm proved wrong, though.

No, it's good. It gives a lot of support to the mods and I can check out dozens of mods I'd never have stumbled across otherwise.

We already have guidelines on what to post, and what not to post. We do only post the more substantial updates, rather than the "oh look I've just rendered a 3D model in Milkshape 3D" kinda thing.
