Mod concept: John Carpenters The thing

There has been something bugging me, couple of years ago came this mod, the thing, based on the movie but really had no concept of the movie. Any hardcore the thing fan would be disapointed with the game
Now the concept I've thought of would be close to the movie, you have like 12 friends and you are isolated in the arctic in your outpost. Someone is an infected thing and you have to find out who it is before it spreads. Also when you play, everytime you pick new game the characters gets infected in new order, randomly. Help me build on this concept.

wont happen, it'll be shut down. Besides there was already one, and there's a mini-series in the works too, and another game IIRC.
