Mod-Help with FarCry Please...

Ok- This may sound a little weird.... But i just reformated my pc and totaly installed everything... Farcry worked b4 the reformat... and now after trying ANYTHING and everything it just keeps not loading... it loads like 4 centimeters into the load bar and then the monitor goes off and then i have to restart becuase their is nothing else to do.

Im not sure if Ubi has this as a known issue... but it seems like ATI cards drivers are REALLY picky over wich ones will run this game...

I have a Powercolor Radeon 9800 pro... It worked b4 the reformat... and now useing the newest ATI drivers it WILL NOT RUN.

Basicaly i couldnt find any way of contacting UBI/FARCRY or ATI for that matter to find out whats being done... I love this game and i want to play it so bad-The multiplayer demo is suppose to come out today i belive, i want to play it! If you can since you guys have like all game companys emails and more than likely ATI's can you please drop them a line and find out whats going on?

Did you have the same drivers before the reformat? Older catalyst drivers tend to work better with Far Cry at the moment, for example the 3.9's.

I would like to thx both the moderators for their help, that fixed the problem..... I wish ATI would get their act together.

It works really well now, i had reformated 2 times the first time with NTFS to see how much differnt it was and i couldnt get the game to run to i reformated back to fat 32... that wasted a whole day... hehe

Hmm somehow that sounds like the pc crashes, try doing windows update, updating the mobo drivers, installing in another directory or try reformating again.

ugh...never use fat32 anymore unless you have a specific reason to do it.

do u have dx9 in the box?
