Mod idea, anyone wanna help?

Anyone interested in a conspiracy thriller mod? I don't really have much in the way of modding knowledge (I can make a webpage for the mod though), so I need help on pretty much every aspect of it. Writers, mappers, moddlers, etc...

I don't really have much of a story outline, but I was thinking something along the lines of a government plot to rule the world (Though not quite so cheesy), new world order stuff... My explaination doesnt really make it sound that good, does it... See? That's why I need a decent writer, too.

Anyone? It can't be that bad.

Edit: Oh, and while I'm at it, it's going to be a tactical espionage game, with bursts of CS type action mixed in where needed. If you end up on the team, you'll have a lot of input on the design process though.

In my opinion I wouldn't start a mod without any modding experiance (modelling, programming etc...) If you have none, you don't get none. Simple :D soz to burst ya bubble but making mods is totally different from what u seem to be coming across as.
 
I don't actually have any direct experience, but I know the basic process. If I can find a decent team of people to do the bulk of the work, I think I could get a good story done.

Also, not that it would help with this much - but it is experiance, I do know a few simple programming and scripting languages. And I'm a pretty quick learner.
 
Then you're advised to learn. Pick up a skill, learn to do it well and you're much more likely to have a willing mod team.
 
Well, I'm working on the writing part... I guess I could take the time to read through the book I have on C++, or figure out World Craft.

even i had an idea in creating mod , but i lost hope when i came to know about the processes involved in it.the plot being the major part in a game, finding a story writter is the most important thing.i might be of some help in level designing.thats the only thing i have done successfully using Hammer3.4 .i make maps for hl only.

world craft is an old version.Try out Hammer3.4(latest version of worldcraft). it is far better than worldcraft.

My bad. I havnt tried anything with it since it was still WC, so I'm used to calling it that.

I know that making a mod is a long, complicated process but I'm always up for a challange.
 
I think a conspiracy thriller mod is definitely doable, since it shoudn't be a large scale project and only needs good animation, sound, and story-telling... eh, nm :p
 
My story is based around a conspiracy that began behind the scenes in half-life and is now coming to fruition years later. No new models, or code, just levels.
