Just trying to give people some ideas, never hurt to help...

A.Evolves. Basically, everybody starts out with a rifle(Ww2, americans vs germans, so either M1903's or K98's). After 5 kills or whatever be the limit(possible server side desicion), you get choices on new weapons/skills, and so forth. An example works best.

The game starts. PlayaX quickly racks up 5 kills with his M1903, hiding in the bushes. Once he dies, he is brought to a screen. He can pick a Grease Gun, Extra Grenades, a Garand, or pick out of a skills screen(slightly like firearms, but it would be more like Armour proficiency, Artillery calling, sniping, accuracy(some would take multiple times to get)). Lets say he picks the Garand. Once he reaches ten, he can pick from skills, Extra grenades, or an M1 Carbine.

He picks extra grenades(he will get the same menu next time, and extra grenades means 2 more, you start with 2. Max would be 8 or somethin). After a while, in a long game, maybe he raises Armour Proficiency, and gets to go command a sherman. Maybe he worked towards getting a .30 cal, and grenades, to be able to suppress people. Possibly he earned a bazooka, and starts clearing objectives for the team. Each game would be different, and balanced(just because Playa X has a machinegun, and lots of grenades, you might have someone who is a master with a Kar98, and worked up artillery calling. He calls for artillery, distracting if not killing PlayaX, then he attacks. All weapons would have advantages and dis-advantages, like in real life.

This would just be a nice change from the standard pick any weapon regardless of skill, and shoot the other person. You should get rewarded for skill.

Baw with the Baw - Bang n Bang diggy diggy diggy set the boogy set up drop the boogy

I like it thats what the above means btw..

Nice Idea, but what about when fresh people join the server ?, they will have crappy guns wont they, compared with everyone who has 1337 guns :D, anyway, good luck with the future

Its nice... But its encouraging deathmatch and killing. I think a game is more fun if its objective based. But maybe BF1942 spoiled me :)

And personally, I dont think weapon has anything to do with skill either... I have seen people go berserk with a pistol, in a far more skillfull way than with a sniper rifle.

Not to mention I think it might be to much options in the end...
But maybe it'll work.
