Hi there,

I'm trying to create some new tree models to introduce in hammer, which is the best way to do it? I've tried to create models decompiling the ones existing in hammer and then just changing the texture of it but when i try to compile it gives me an error with a "bbox" about static prop, i don't know what is it.. I'm having much trouble with compiling new models because it gives me an error with tue qc file.

thanks for any help

bbox should be bounding box
do u have a phys smd for it ?
if not create one and define it in ur qc.
as for modeling use an extruded box and opacity mapped planes for the leaves.

yes but i don't understand much of moddeling, what exactly the extrude does?
I have treemagik which allowsme to create any kind of tree but i can't export it to hammer because i can't create new models

thanks

then you will have to learn how to model ... just go to the tutorials section of this of this forum its a sticky at the top go through them and they will teach you all u need to know.

look for tutorials on subdivision modeling. also would a cylinder not be easyer than a box. admittedly ive never modeled a tree.
