Models (characters, creatures etc) don't move!!

Hello everybody!

I have encountered a very annoying problem while trying to play hl2...The thing is that while sometimes the game starts and plays without any problem, other times i start the game, load a saved game and when it starts, nobody is moving!Not the enemies, not my antlions, nothing! They are stuck as statues! Physics work ok, i.e. when i kill someone his body falls down as usually, but there is no movement! The only one that's moving is me...

Is there something I can do about it? The last two days this problem occurs more often than before...I have to restart the game or even the pc and even then the game keeps doing this annoying thing...

Yeah, the pirated version does that. You would have found that out too, if you had bothered to do a search before you posted, so you are doubly dumb.

If you have a legal copy, there are ways to get it going again, but they don't work on the ripped version. Search for threads on it to find out the answer, there are lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of them. I'm sure we don't need another one.

I had same prob just do as above, thats what i did.

a simple question "do you have a legal copy" would have helped i think...of course i have a legal copy, so one cannot assume that i am dumb enough to come in and ask questions if i own an illegal version...anyway, thanks for the help, i will try what naaier suggested and if that doesn't work, i will try to find the answer in other threads... sorry for posting the same topic, but a quick search before gave me no results, so i assumed no one had asked...sorry again
