I use an external modem, no router, as I don't have a network or anything. To connect to the internet I have to wait until my desktop loads then I dial it for Broadband. I'm wondering if there is a way for it to dial on boot up before I get to the desktop? So programs like Steam and IM don't start crying because they can't find a connection.

Thanks alot. :)

nope there isnt any other way unless you have software like sbc yahoo internet uses which has a connection manager and connects on startup, but other then that the only way is with a router
