or something. I don't really have a good idea of what this thread is meant to be about but mostly I just think this video is real funny.
The video is of course (probably) meant to be in reference to the outcry over Eurogamer's 8/10 score for Uncharted 3, which attracted some controversy because of the way it weaved criticism of the nature of the game's mechanics into what many people perceive to be the true cause of reviews - to evaluate how well those mechanics actually work. The review was pretty unequivocal about the second part - they worked well - but the meat of the article discussed the linear setpiece-heavy action game in general and pondered if the trend was beginning to show some blemishes and was perhaps approaching it's used by date. Many internet people and also game people threw in their 2 gil over whether game reviews should include GAME JOURNALISMING or remain as a stand-alone analysis of the game in question. Aaaaand then I guess it just kind of blew over? But it's still relevant so **** you. YOU DON'T OWN ME.
This also led to a pretty interesting discussion between Giant Bomb's Patrick Klepek and Bioware's Manveer Heir (I don't know either), which is worth a read if you give a shit about this sort of thing like nerdlingers like me.

So uhhhhhhhhh.... journalism! What is it, and stuff. I think that's what I'm going for here. Someone else take over this medication is making me too drowsy to maintain focus.
