Mod's not appearing in Steam

Hi all,

I have installed a number of mods after installing the orange box. I have installed the mods to D:\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods but when I restart Steam they do not appear in my games list.

The confusing thing is that 2 mods - hidden and fortress forever do appear in Steam but the others don't.

The other mods I have downloaded and installed are:

The Fiona Project
Gary's Mod
Insurgency
Deathmatch Pro
Art of Ascension

BTW I have also paid for and downloaded Deathmatch from Steam.

I have tried adding the mods manually but cant find the .exe for the mod.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe they require css?

make sure you extracted them correctly. sometimes the folders may be different then when you extracted.

Garry's mod won't work it requires Counter Strike Source

Gmod require a game with source sdk so if you own hl2 you can buy GMOD w/o css...

As far as I can make out all the mods are installed to the correct directory, as some mods within that directory work fine, such as hidden and final fortress - the others don't!!

Be trawling forums for a couple of days now to try and find a fix but yet to no avail - please help as there are some awsome mods there I am dying to play.
