Ok so this is my old 19" (which was replaced by my 22" as seen in sig). The original problem and reason I got that 22" was the monitor was shutting off when I turn it on. The times it would stay on coincided with dark images on the screen, the popular method I got used to was a black painted screen in Paint. Well I don't have access to that 22", ironically just until tomorrow but I figured I should diagnose this newer, evolved problem I've got with this 19". Basically it seems to turn on every time now (its been a few months since I replaced it and used it) but the left side is darker and the whole screen seems to flicker a lot more sometimes (like how you'd notice with a crt). I'm wondering what the problem is, most likely hardware and if it's at all resolvable, not that I have a warranty. Although it's not going to really be a burden since I'll have that 22" back, I still want to salvage this monitor if I can, it's served me very well.
