monitor problems can you help?

i have lines in my monitor, they are not burned lines or anyhting

its just that lets say if i have a screen thats all one color, lets say grey or beige or the blueish dark color on this site in the corners, i can see lines inside the monitor screen, going from bottom of the screen to the top, its pretty anoying, any ideas whats this is?

you cant see the lines in a multi color environment, this screne im tying i cant see them but to the left where its gray and right where its gray i can see the lines. any clues? its an envision 18inch mnonitor, cost me 199 or something a while back.

Unfortunatley, these things just seem to happen to monitors after a while. As far as I know the error is hardware and isn't worth repairing.

Now, I may be wrong, maybe someone has a sollution for you, but I do know that when this kind of thing happens to a monitor at work, we sling it and get a new one.

Sounds like the monitors on the way out, but you could try a couple of things.
Different drivers.
Or use the "DEGUASS" option in your monitor settings, this will be one of the buttons on your monitor, or in the monitors menu.

What the deguass does, Is it de-magnetises the monitor, This build up of "static" can happen when a monitor is placed too close to objects that emit magnetism, such as a PC's psu, or genrally speakers that are not magnetically shielded.
