ok, just got a new 19" flatscreen which I <3

You can rotate it, no big surprise, but the problem is in the ati display options (using a 9800pro, catalsyt 5.11) you have to change the resolution to have the max width of 1024. I run the monitor at it's default 1280x1024, and when it's rotated it should be 1024x1280, but that's not an option, so you have to set it at 1024x768 which is fail.

There should be a way to do this, but I don't know how.

Your monitor should have come with software that will install and do this. Might want to read in the manual and says if it is a vid card setting or monitor setting as well.

woot, I had seen the driver on the cd, but they were some weird files I didn't know what to do with. I updated the driver via device mangaler and now it works :p

Hooray! My monitor is the same way except I never flip it. I opened it and saw drivers for it. I just thought "LOL monitors don't need drivers silly" and a week later I realized why...and went back to watching the porn on my beautiful monitor.

lawl, yeah I thought it was a video driver related problem.
