I installed the game and when I tried to run it, my monitor switches off. I can hear the opening screens running but my monitor is switched off. If I use the ALT key combination to close the program down and then click on it with the mouse, it will open up and the monitor will stay on allowing me to watch the splash screens. But then the monitor switches off as it starts and thereafter, I cannot get it to come back on againwithout closing the program to a window. Then I have to reboot to shut the program down.
I have a 3Ghz Pentium, a 5900 Ultra graphics, 1 Gig Corsair Ram.
My monitor is a 22inch Ilyama. I didn't have this problem with Half Life 2 or indeed any other game. I've tried changing the video drivers back to 61.77 to no avail. Can anyone help? I waited a week for this game to be delivered as the previous copy was lost in the post. I have the UK version.
