More FEAR previews (interesting read)

Eurogamer has two very comprehensive previews for FEAR online. These guys are pretty sceptic most of the time, but they're raving on this one. There's a singleplayer and a multiplayer preview.

It all sounds fantastic, but I hope it's not all action movie style like the preview describes, but also plenty of subtle "creepy schoolgirl" horror moments. That would be perfect.

So true. It looks like it has potential to eat my 6800 GT alive.

It will function by plugging 32 wires into our ears and connecting it to the brain... taking all the excess dendrites and axons that aren't already functioning for our basic needs to simulate the needed picture.

That being said...FEAR is the kind of FPS I'm looking for. I always loved playing Specialists 2.0 just running around in slowmo getting in big firefights. Can't wait

well judging from the people who play hl2 dm I think you're right ..just not my cup of tea, gets boring really fast

Indeed, that's fair enough. I like twich games, and the tactics of DM.. to me 'go and capture whatever' is boring

i like team games....i like deathmatch games

...but most of all....i like splinter cell: chaos theory SvM games

if that multiplayer didn't have bugs and ran smoothly, it would be the best multiplayer ever made in my opinion

I agree. If the SP will play like a cross between a John Woo movie and The Ring, I'll be very happy.

And about the another-DM-discussion: I wasn't a big DM-fan until HL2-dm came along. With the bullet time feature FEAR seems to be another game that brings something new to deathmatch and I'm anxious to try it out.

just to tell you the eurogamer.net site has another fear article,this time a interview,its not the best but worth alook,tbh the journo seems to have some neurotic problems,spends half the article talkin about his fellow journo's looks and body language :naughty: ,the questions and answers also kinda suck,i mean what average gamer cares about ai.programming :dozey: ,they shoulda asked the 2 questions people want to know the answers to
