More good news for ATI voucher holders...

In this post at the steam forums, they just confirmed that the next steam update, which will be made before the CS: Source beta begins, will include a new option to insert the ATI Voucher CD-Key for Half Life 2 before anything is released. So this means for those of us that have waited to use the key, we don't need to make a new account now, just wait for the new update and plug it in.

Actually, it probably is closer to meaning that this feature will make it easier for voucher holders to get the cs: source beta, this way they don't have to get a new account and stuff, but still, we can dream, can't we? :E

If CS:S works as a mod for HL2, it's possible HL2 will start preloading on the 5th as well.

If CS:S works as a mod for HL2, it's possible HL2 will start preloading on the 5th as well.

HL2 won't start preloading until it goes gold. The 5th is too optimistic a deadline for that.

My guess is that Valve would be worried about the pre-load getting hacked and unlocked, so possibly not.

yes, thats already been confirmed hasnt it? if not, then its very very likely. theyre already going to preload cs:s so i presume if that goes okay, then they will do it with hl2 aswell
