Another interesting read, an interview by Shacknews with Chet, asking some insightful questions about L4D. A summary of the interview being:
  • The differences between the PC version and 360 version are negligible. The 360 will support a split screen mode for 2 people to play locally, or linking 2 360's allows a 4 player LAN game.
  • The rumour mill churns, from a slight slip of the tongue, L4D could have a flamethrower weapon
  • We will see updates for L4D just like Team Fortress 2 including community maps.
  • Valve are in the stages of hosting their own dedicated servers for 360 players to play lag free.
  • Playable infected footage...coming October (when the tour is over).

Good read

"The biggest problem with [the console version of TF2] is that we had kids with dial-up connections saying, 'I can host a 16 player server.' We had a little thing that said, 'Oh no you can't.' And they're like, 'Oh yes I can.' And so then people would connect, have a horrible experience, and go, 'This game sucks.'
:(

I was one of those kids.

... it means xbox 360 players...

And if you're joking, work on it next time. ;)
