R600 details and it looks they are aiming for Jan. 30th (Vista timeframe)
They said the board is shorter than the 8800 but the cooler is quite large. And they said "The thermal budget is around 200-220 Watts and the board should not consume more power than a Geforce 8800GTX." Surprising really.
ATI's 64 shaders can do 4 scaler units each (64x4=256). So you can't really compare it to Nvidia's 128 simple shaders which do 1 scaler unit each (128x1=128).
