Under the title "HALF-LIFE 2 MYSTERY DEEPENS"

Even this usually reliable web-site has been sucked into the drama. Worth a look, even if it's for more useless informtion.

Also info on the NDA's being lifted for the new chips on the block. So we should see some benchmarks soon (today...woop wopp)!
 
hmmmm, apparently the Athlon FX is a budget chip or something?

I thought it was a new kick ass new chip... my boo boo
 
Bleh, i don't want to buy the game via Steam. I want a good ol'-fashioned box. Am i the only one who wants that?

But, if the game is exclusive at 9/30 on steam i'll force myself to buy it that way.
 
I'd eat a baby if it meant getting it on the 30th and there was no other option...

Thanks for the heads-up Phate, however next time could you take the time to post hardware related information in the hardware forum, and HL2 related information in this one?
 
Isn't there a athlon 64(cheap), athlon 64 fx(high performance like athlon xp)
 
OK. All he said is what has been said b4. There is nothing new there about the release. I think all of those scenerios have been discussed here correct? I have been watching this drama unfold (not posting not registered till a few weeks ago) and this is going to be the makings of a GREAT soap opera or Mini Series.
