Mossman not getting into lift at Black Mesa East

ok, here's the deal:
I enter the Black-Mesa East room, get scanned, Mossman talks and walks me to the lift. She finishes her rant and the lift doors open, I get it and she just stands there looking at me. I jump up and down, she still looks at me. I shoot her a couple of times as a last resort, no response. I had this problem before when I got into the lift with Alyx at the start of the game, but that just required a reload of the save file. This other one isn't fixing itself.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hit "new game" and select "Black mesa east"
also, are you using a warez or retail version?

Already tried new game.
Retail, bought it today.

Have you fired your weapons at all?

I tryed firing and not firing. I've reloaded about 5 times. even from that jump out of the tunnel

Try and think of ways your system/game would differ from a standard setup.
Think of background apps, special circumstances etc..
