Motherboard Upgrade NEED HELP!

My setup right now is:

Motherboard: P5NT deluxe
Memory: 8 gig DDR2 1066
Graphics: Gygabyte 2X 460GTX 1gig in SLI
CPU: Quad core Q9550 @ 2.8 gig

I'm currently running a Asus P5NT Deluxe Motherboard

Here is the thing i was at a thrift store today(Goodwill) and i stumbled upon this motherboard and was wondering if it would be worth the upgrade from what i have now. I Paid $4.99 for the board !! Awesome deal!

I looked at the specs it seems like it has some nicer features than what I have now, I need an expert to let me know if its worthe the upgrade. If i do i will need to get a new CPU and memory.

It supports core i7 is that any better than my q9550? I would like to know thanks in advance.

Prolly different sockets... I dunno if LGA 1366 is backwards compatible with LGA 775 like your cpu (I am only really knowledgeable about AMD).

If it's in perfect working order you're probably best off trying to sell it at a decent price. The other option is to upgrade to an i7, the thing about that is for your new socket the processors start at just under $300. While it would be a respectable upgrade from what you already have, you'd still be better off getting a new sandy bridge set instead. Than and you'll need new RAM as well.

I want to spend around $600 so i mind as well get 2500K sandy with new ram and board. Sell everything else. Just want to make sure I can run BF3 at max settings . lol
