hi, i dont know much about motherboards so im gonna ask u guys :)
wots a good motherboard that workd with an intel chip? thanks

anything by asus is excellent, P4C800 is also good.
Look here and here

hope that helps :bounce:

thanks alot, also im thinking of overclocking my 9800 pro a bit, but im worried my computer is going to explode with heat :flame: have u got any tips on the amount of fans and stuff i will need?

Yep, the P4C-800 is an excellent choice.

If you're going the AMD route, both the Abit NF7-S Rev 2.0 & Asus A7N8X Deluxe / A7N8X-X are great choicse as well.

I wonder why Nvidia hasn't designed an Nforce solution for Intel chips.

You can safely overclock your 9800 Pro (Assuming it's a Pro out of the box, and not a Non Pro flashed to a Pro) to 412/730, which is the 9800 XT Core/Mem speeds. I'm confident you could run it at 430/750, safely (My Non Pro runs at 430/730 with no artifacts).

cool thanks rare hero, mines a hercules retail, running at core : 378 and memory : 337, which i no is poor compared to the built by ati version of the card. i dont want to overclock it and find out it breaks because i wont be able to get any warranty on it :( will i need alot of fans tho?

you say that but my card is very bad! i think its to do with my computer tho, im getting a new one so if its not better in that then ill get a new one on warranty
