I don't know anything about coding. Would it be hard to make a mini mod, where it renders 5 (or 10)frames, then blends them into one and displays that one? So we get motion blur? It wouldn't be very feasible for HL2 cuz the framerate is already crappy, but might be cool for HL:Source, right? That way, you could play with physics, cool water, hires 6xFSAA, and sweet motion blur! Right?

I think that's a bitchin idea, I have a similar question posted elsewhere. Motion blur would make things appear very realistic, if it wasn't terribly choppy or over-done.

the bread will walk the earth

I like that idea, bummer I have no idea about coding.

There has got to be an easy way around this. If the PS2 can do it on a game like GT4, then I'll be damned ifn PC's can't do the same thing :D

HL:S w motion blur would look like this:

Need for speed Underground and KOTOR on PC have that feature

There's fake motion blur (fading out each frame) and real motion blur (rendering X times more frames then compressing them into 1). All current games except FarCry use fake motion blur :)

You have to enable it in the console, it was added in the 1.3 patch I beleve.
