what id like to know is what is the sensitivity you use in you cs option menu at first i had my set as high as i could aws i thaught this helpd reflex's but then i tryed it set way down to 5.5 and i play a whole lot better like that.
when it was set to high it seemed to distort the mouse movement it was jerky and inacurate.
what do you find best for you and why? what are the benefits of high or low setting

I set my MX518 to 800DPI and i play on a sensitivity of 1.2, however i'm more of a 1.6 player. But at the end of the day it's all a matter of preference over popularity.

I have a razer diamondback 1500 dpi is it? Well I play on 0.5 sensitivity now.

about 8 so i dont have to move my hand to australia to turn around.

...depending on what you prefer of course, I leave it off despite my cheap mouse because I've gotten used to it. (after getting used to a setting like this, it's hard to change sometimes)

my sensitivity is on 4.75
always.
i played on the max one time, and that was ridiculous.

aiming was quite the bitch

I use a logitech mx518 (1600dpi) with the on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment (one notch lower and one higher... I just keep it in the middle)

In game I use 4, I was at 3.5 for a while. Lower the better I think...

11.5
I am using a red-laser sensor mouse. No inaccuracy is detected by me so far

18.1 standard in windows, I have mouse smooth in game on though, I think Im gonna try to take it off its probably better that way I just havent used it off for years. I have a logitech mx510.

2.9 in game, low in windows, no mouse smoothing, no enhance pointer precision in windows. Logitech G5 (2000 DPI)

Mouse filter is generally better off, as it takes the information from your mouse and averages it out. So when you are trying for those crazy swipe motion shots, your sights don't go as far as you would like them to.

I use an 800 DPI MX510, I have mouse acceleration disabled by way of a registry patch, and I am at a sensitivity of 6.4. Also, there is no sensitivity that is just going to make you great at the game. Just play with what you are used to, I used to try and play with low sensitivities, but I am more of an aggressive player, so I had to speed up my sensitivity. Common theory is to play with a low sensitivity, and use your arm to move your character around the map, and use your wrist for precise aiming.

Yep I finally killed mouse smooth and its a bit better now :)

when I aim long distances I can see it goes fewer pixels pr move than before. Wich is what I figured.

Should have done it a long time ago, but I must have had a old mouse wich was best with it on...
