Mouse Smoothing

Hi,
When i playing games with my optical mouse i cannot sometimes line up the aim with the target, ie.

I'm playing BF2 with a sniper & i cannot get the scope to move very neatly, if there is sum guy i was to shoot it takes me ages to line up the target. How can i get my mouse smoothed out?

Loswer your sensitivity in-game or get a better mouse. Crappy optical mouses (under $10 or so) often don't have much tracking ability, or "detail." I remember playing America's Army and complaining about not lining exactly up with a camping spot. With my Logitech MX510 (about $30 now) works great.
