Ive been doing alot of cinematic/movie creation using the wc3 engine and have been scouting around for another game that will give me a greater chance to express my creativity. I saw Source Film's thread and discovered the potential of HL2 for movie creation. So i am announcing my first project for HL2. I havent done anywork further than concept but here is what i got:

Title: Vengeance of Injustice (sucky title and subject to change)
Genre: Suspense/Thriller/Drama
Concept: Nearly 40 years elapsed since John McKinley was convicted of his father's murder sentenced to life in prison. New evidence emerge, overturning the initial decision. Now 63 years of age, McKinley is hardened from years of prison life and filled with loathing for those who witnessed against him. Finally free he can seek revenge upon the ones who put him into prison.
Characters:
John McKinley - Protagonist and emotional force of the story. His emotional struggles and volatile hatred form the depth of the plot.
Adam Peronas - A top investigator who is assigned to catch McKinley as he kills off the list of witnesses. He is young and intelligent, cunning and tireless in the pursuit of his target. He is the antagonist, yet he reaches out to the human side of McKinley as he tries to persuade him from continuing the killing.
Terrence McKinley - John's brother. He was the only eye-witness to his father's death and knew the real killer's identity. Age 10 at the time of the murder, he was manipulated by the investigators to testify against his brother. Feeling betrayed, John hates Terrence the most of the witnesses. Terrence is the last target of John which forms the climax of the movie.
There are several other characters that will develop through further planning.

Thats pretty much it. These are a few jobs i will eventually need filled:
-Modeller (sets and characters)
-Programmer (create scripted stuff from the storyboards and script)
Soundtrack Composer (compose the score for the movie)
-Voice Actors (need very good voice actors that can portay the emotion of the characters. I dont think i will need these until later in production.)
-Sound Manager (movies require profesional sound to intensify the audience's experience. this would involve editting and managing the voice acting and sound effects.
-Image Creator (skins, banners, logos, ads, all 2d art. I will do alot of this but i will need help)

I will be project manager, director, some programming, storyboard, writer, and public relations.

So tell me what you think and if you want to help. Production will not begin in earnest until i finish my wc3 cinematic.

Title: Sounds too close to "Edge of Justice", but as you said, you'll change it.

Don't really know what else to reply.

The story sounds kinda standard... nothing special about it.

You dont need any coders for this project, cameras and scripts will the mappers do. Animation is a key function in a project like this, try to get very good animators if you want to make anything good.... its all about animation :)

Good luck!

Thnx for the tips. The story may seem standard, but the final product will hopefully be far different than anything you have seen.

Well, with a story, you don't wan to reveal too much info to hte public, which make it hard to get people on board, but on the other hand it makes it hard to get fans, which makes it hard to get team members.

I'm sorry I don't really have an valid input, but you may want to reconsider your approach. Perhaps give links to your previous work or show off the skills which are backing this project. People won't wnat to join a project which is going to flop, so you must show something somewhere.

VISION! Good luck man, don't be afraid to talk to me if you need any original music made!
