Does anyone else think that movies, particularly action films, contribute unnecessary amounts of GHGs toward Global Warming?

Think about it. Every explosion just adds to the amount of gases we are already releasing in stupidly high amounts. And for what? Entertainment? Money? 'Wow' factor?

Even TV series where things get set alight, or where things get blown up...sure its cool and everything, but its not like the gases produced just disappear.

Ive hardly put up a strong argument, mainly because i dont have the time and cant be arsed to write a mini essay on Global Warming, but has anyone else had thoughts about it?

I thought about it. Then I realised that mankind has little or no effect on climate change.

Ok there droppin like thousands of bombs in the middle east causing actual real explosions. I think you should focus more on those than the fake ones in action movies. But I don't believe in global warming anyway. I think its a bunch of bs that people made up when global cooling didn't work out

You got waaay too much time on your hands.

Don't use your computers anymore... the intense heat from OC'ing will contribute to global warming, which in turn will melt the polar ice caps. BAM! We're dead. SEEE:thumbs:

Actually there are groups like Carbon Neutral that plant forests to offset CO2 production from producing CD's and stuff..... so yes other people have thought of this and they are doing things about it.

My teacher told me that when a volcano blows it does 6 times as much damage to the enviorment than man has. So don't worry about it.

OMG THE WORLD CLIMATE HAS INCREASED 1.3C FROM THE PREHISTORIC TIMES

GG @ fearists.

lol you can't be serious. Hahaha, funny stuff.

It probably contributes to less than 1% of emissions at most :P. Cut down on the sources which actually matter :P.

Im not going to get into another global warming arguement, it happens accept it.

As long as we don't go crazy with the fumes, earth will be all right.

Honestly, the explosions behind special effects must be vastly insignificant to the amounts of gas being pumped out of every car owned by billions of families across the world. That's where you should start worrying about.

And as for global warming, it happens, accept it. Quit being in denial and do something about it; either way there's no excuse for the environmental damage that we cause on such a large scale.
