Moving Apartments

So I'm moving out of my old apartment. It is right in the middle of downtown Vancouver but the rent is almost 800/month, and my roommate is an 18 yr old immature girl that is also a huge slob and I can't stand to live with. I'm gone at the start of February.

I've been looking around and found an okay place that costs 650/month.
It has an anti-social roommate that is gone most of the time and is a bit less nice than the other one. But it's attached to a very nice hotel that has hot tub, pool, weight room. I'm a bit not-sure about the landlord. Seems like he doesn't have a rental contract, just a verbal agreement and a deposit. I think this would work in my favour if I ever had any issues though. I gotta decide by tomorrow whether to take it or leave it.

Or you can move to some northlandic ice wasteland and hunt bears and build a hut so you can live like a viking. Maybe get a nice little krew together so you guys can make a viking central fortress. Man, what a dream come true.
