I'm thinking about adding another 2Gb to my system.
The question is would I be able to keep my SPP timings?
As I have a corsair 6400 c4 running at 4-4-4-12,
I wonder, if I'll add another kit, will it preserve the SPP or will it
switch to 5-5-5-15 (= no SPP)?

Anyone..?

Would depend on the memory controller. In the past, Intel's controllers would dock the MHz if it can't handle that many banks at the same setting. AMD's would change the 1T latency to 2T. Not sure about Nvidia's.

I know with AMD's latency you could try to force it to 1T but a lot of times you would have to raise the voltage to keep it stable. More stress for OCing.

Wow... I'm still stuck at 1gb. :O

I still say unless you are rendering or some such, 2 gigs is the place to be right now.

*Edit*

Ofcourse, with ram prices what they are now, it's hard to argue. =D

Im thinking of going from 2gb PC3200 to 4gb PC3200 as Im using Vista now. Will I see much difference in my gaming?

Since you're using the 64bit edition, I would recommend you to have 4gigs. Everything takes up more address space in 64bit.

im using the 32bit one now, the 64 bit installshield crashes when it asks if I want to check for updates on the internet
