Moving house

Right now I am in a break between two packing sessions. Tomorrow I am moving house for what seems like the umptienth time. This one will be a breeze. Half of my stuff is already at the place I am moving too, so it's not that big a deal.
I had some bad house moves though. Stuff that wouldn't fit through the staircase, big fights between me and my ex, breaking stuff ....
They were a minority tho. I guess that has something to do with the fact that my granddad was in the transport business. It's in my genes.
Long story short: wish me luck tomorrow!

I am moving within Amsterdam. I now live in the red light district so I'll miss the laydees. The house itself is a dump tho, and I am moving to a place that looks a lot better.

I hate moving ..but the good thing is that it's something new and change is good. Good luck and try not to break anything ..here's a moving story, bought a new couch tried to bring the old couch downstairs ..wouldnt fit through door, took off door and door stop plus parts of door frame ..it fit but then realised it wouldnt go around the corner ..left it stuck halfway in the door and went for a beer came back later and threw the old couch in the garbage ...I was this close --> [...] to setting my house on fire, thankfully beer kills fire demons

I am actually moving back to the place where I used to live with my ex. She moved out there, but totally changed the place after I left last year: there's a wooden floor now, she painted here and there, and she actually gave me her brand new washing machine.

The move went very well. No broken stuff, except for a couple of obligatory bruises and cuts. And a little stress about missing Ikea parts that were in the box after all. The biggest chore was cleaning the place up. My ex and the cats left quite a mess so it took some time to get the place in an acceptable state again. It's clean as a whistle now, thanks in part to my personal white tornado: mom.
