Moving to Louisianna.

So you guys will notice a severe lack of Krynn in these parts for the next week or two. I'm moving to Louisiana and I'm going to be driving down tomorrow, a 24 hour drive. I'll probably have to drive through a couple hurricanes, but it should be no biggie. I'll have to find an apartment and get situated before getting internets back. But dont worry, it will be ok. I'm sure you kids will do alright without me, I taught you guys everything I know so there shouldnt be too many deaths in my absence.

I'll see y'all later.
 
What a terrific time to move there, what with hurricane Gustav and all. :|

We got pummeled by Fay not long ago here in FL too.

I wonder what kind of job Krynn has lined up for himself in a place like Louisiana?

It IS one of the poorest states in the union after all. :|

He'll be making a U-turn on the interstate and heading back to Connecticut once he sees the destruction.

On the plus side, rent is probably dirt cheap because no one in their right minds would want to live there anymore after Katrina.
 
No, I'm just saying it's pretty funny that all these porn industries are attracted every year to LA because of drunk woman. I just found out that today is the 3rd anniversary of Katrina: http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/weather/08/29/gustav.prepare/index.html They are evacuating as well. I really hope that it breaks the flood gates again. No I seriously do because maybe then we can just abandon that piece of the USA and call it hopeless to fix LA. Even the French hated the place and that's the reason why we got it.

Yep. I'll be making pretty good money, and be paying very little for rent and living expenses. Its going to be awesome.

so many people there moved here to houston and stayed.....crime rate has gone up of course.

its nice that you get something good out of Louisiana with a nice job. if we dont see you for a month then we should assume your dead....right?
 
Moving to a state who's main city was destroyed by a hurricane and its doubtful it will ever recover because the state is just the arse end of nowhere where humans should never inhabit seems a bit..

I survived! And all I got was a big ass dent in the side of my car. Some retarded evacuee lady backed her pickup truck into it while it was parked in the hotel parking lot, and took off without leaving a note. The bitch.

So the apartments around here pretty much suck. Almost all there is are apartments that are just projects, or renting actual houses. Luckily my friends that got me a job here also had a room open in their four bedroom apartment that is actually really nice. Its brand new, and the cost includes rent, internet, cable, furniture and utilities. All I have to pay separately is the electric bill which is split four ways. The only downside is that its pretty much ON the Louisiana Tech campus, so when there are football games, the traffic sucks asstesticles.

I also already started working, and the job is pretty sweet. Im a modeler/detail artist, and I get to do a lot of high resolution models and make normal maps for the in-game assets. I'm still not too sure I want to say who i'm working for, because I dont necessarily want to have my online moniker with a reputation for being ridiculous and possibly offensive being connected to my professional life, so i'll make you guys wonder about it for awhile.

Anyways, I'm back... and I can see you guys didnt handle yourselves too well. 24 locked threads in the first five pages? Damn guys.
 
Or many of us would die in his shoes. Louisiana? SERIOUSLY?
