I'm not sure if i'm in the right forum, if not, I apologize. :p

I'm currently looking for a HD mp3 player. Of course, there's the iPod, but i'm not particulary interested in those. There are expansive, and if heard rumours of problems with Windows. Before, the only thing that was holding me down was the sound quality. I know the iPod, and most of the mp3 players don't have the quality of a good ol' CD. But the Rio Karma offers great sound quality, with Sennhiser earbuds, FLAC support and a lot of control over sound quality (treble/bass, equaliser).

In all the websites I've browsed in, the Rio Karma is very well rated, just besides the iPod. But in the costomer evaluations, it's a little less good.

Does somebody have one or know someone who have one and can give me their feedback on it?

Thanks!

I don't have either but if I was going to get one I'd get the Karma. Apparently the controls are a bit iffy but I think the other features outweigh that.

Oh that karma. I don't own it but I sell them. ;)

I was thinking that you ment the 1.5GB Rio version, which only costs 170$ or so, until I saw the picture.
I like that version because it is so small/thin, yet it holds a few hundered songs.

The 20gb is nice cause you can use it over the network, it has the audio plugs on the back for a stereo and it plays the other formats you might use.
I donno, it's nice I guess. Personally I'd perfer the 20GB Ipod (299$) over that player unless I'd use the other features I mentioned.

None of the products have any big issues with windows but people often have problems if it's user or configuration error. Not just the Ipod.

personally i like the look of the iriver h110, but it's bigger and that may not suit you. it also doesn't have FLAC support, but it can play Ogg Vorbis like the Karma.

Yeah, i've heard a lot of good things about the Iriver players as well.

All right, thank for your help guys!

So, nobody else actually owns one?
