MSN 7.0 - DONT Upgrade!!!

Havent been able to sign in since i downloaded and installed it!!!

So my advice is not to bother with it. Now im in the process of uninstalling it <which isnt working out all that great> and re-installijng and old version. And irony of irony the feedback page for MSN doesnt work (so you cant actually tell them what you think of the site even if you wanted to)

Well I'm glad to see that you got this warning nice and early, you know before anyone else gets MSN 7.0



It just about works for me, its shit, but it works.

The guy that decided to put the nudge feature in needs a nudge in the head with bat.
 
The new MSN is an abomination. All those crappy winks and nudge things....ALSO, it may try and screw you whenever you try to transfer any sort of file that isn't a picture file. I've had mp3's and even *.inf files blocked, with MSN popping up messages to my contacts telling them that the file is "dangerous" :rolleyes: Changing the file extension works.

Scumbag program, but I have to use it because everyone else does...
 
It doesn't work very good for me. I couldn't even open the documents that were in the "my received files" folder, I had to move them manually and then open them. But since then I formated and it works but it still keeps me disconnecting once in a while. And when I download MSN 6.2, I install it, it says I have to download a new version to use Messenger and it downloads MSN 7!! dah! I hate M$ Evil plans!
 
LOL quite a late announcement, I've been using it since beta.
 
It's aight; except I want to slap the person who added the "nudge" feature.

It might as well be spyware!
 
Not at all mate, I just haven't ventured into MSN 7's options yet.
 
that happened to me aswell, i was without msn for weeks.

the only thing that could bring it back was wiping my pc (which i had to do anyway)

Ah stupid MSN and their new-fangled contraptions...
 
lol, i thought it only happened to me. (its my luck).

i thought everyone else had it with no problems.

i did post about it.. but that was a whileee back

I knew and i don't even use msn.

yeah me too, msn 7 beta, current, and msn plus 3 i think, with loadsa stuff.

Works fine for me, always has, you just have problems on your computer. I try to keep my system clean and working as best as possible. Maybe you should take some time do something similar. Nudges are annoying, so just disable them, its a fine programme for messengering, small file transfer etc.

i have no problems with the latest msn version... i think it's great (after removing the annoying adbar and customizing it with msn plus) and winks and nudges aren't annoying unless a lot of people are talking to you at once

Same. I don't even taketime to re-format every month or anything like that. It just works. Occaisional sign outs but that's my fault because of bandwidth usage cutting its connection.

Not at all!

Messenger+ is nowhere near as bad as people say it is, and is by no means spyware. it's very usefull
 
What people don't know is that's the Creator of MSN Plus posting through Crush's account.
 
MSN plus has no spyware if you have any amount of knowledge of program installers - ie click no when it asks you do you want to install the sponsor program :p

Anyone know if Google are moving into the Instant Messenger market or not? G-Messenger? :D
 
Trillian's video/audio support just isn't good enough for my liking (although it does have nice things like timetravel).
 
I've had MSN 7.0..you must've installed it wrong or something, because it works fine for me.

Only messenger program around that i can be bothered to get.

Hey, it works. But I'm having increasing thoughts of violence about the nudge feature and the winks and stuff. I'll venture into the options page later and see what i can find
 
I hate MSN 7, I installed it when it was officially released and it was alright for awhile but it wouldn't allow me to send any messages. It would be on and off some messages would go through but a shit load wouldn't, like I'd say something and it would give me The follow message could not be sent: blah blah blah, it drove me insane so I downgraded back to 6.2 and it works fine. I'm not upgrading until I'm forced to.
