I just updated my sound card driver and now i get a muffled sound kinda like a little echo from my headphones ONLY .:( When i turn on my Klipsch speakers it sounds Fine but with the headphones i get a muffled sound. And i know its not the Headphones cuz i tryd a diff one and still sopunds muffled.

This only happend with these new drivers. The old drivers sounded fine but it would lock up my system.

Anyone know how i can fix this?

Yeah, I had the same problem as you. I went out and bought a new soundcard 'cuz no one here could help me. Good luck

Try adjusting your equalizer settings while your are wearing your headphones. Headphones are funny like that.

i hate headphones. got a pair of plantronics, the inline volume control broke. got a pair of altec lansings, the inline volume control broke. can anyone recommend a good quality set with no god damned bastard inline volume control while we're on the subject? :)

Anything Sennheiser. They are the king in headphones. But they do cost too, 50€ and uppwards.

He@t!, make sure you download and install the latest control panel for your soundcard. it'll have a vast array of options to tweak your settings etc. most likely it sounds like there may be an equaliser preset which needs to be changed like blahblahblah said.

I can recommend some very good headphones...but you won't like them....because they are $200. They are Made by Bose and extremely good...I say even better than $200 speakers.

mmmm bose :)
one day, when i inherit munro's life insurance, they will be mine :E

I just got the Sennheiser HD497s and they're a pretty nice pair of headphones. They don't have an inline volume control though.
